My September Ipsy Glam Bag!

It's that time again! I'm loving my September Glam Bag, all of my items and even the bag feel very autumnal. I'm so excited that fall is finally here! It's the official start to the holiday season, which is my very favorite time of the year!

The items I received:
  • Formula X Nail Color in the color Ignite
  • Not Soap Radio Hand and Body Lotion in a coconut milk mango and vanilla scent
  • Laneige Water Sleeping Mask for all skin types
  • City Color City Chic Lipstick in Je T'aime
  • NYX 3 Color Shadow Palette in IpsyNYX01
I love this color for fall! It's a gorgeous burgundy wine red color, the formula is really nice and it applies very smoothly and lasted on my nails for about 5 days before it started chipping.

I don't love the scent of this lotion. Scent is a deal breaker for me when it comes to products like these. I'll probably give this to someone else and see if they can make better use of it.

I'm really interested in trying this out, I hope it will be beneficial for my dry skin! It doesn't have much of a fragrance to it and it absorbs quite quickly into my skin.

This is a lovely berry pink color, that I absolutely love for fall. How cute is that little heart in the lipstick?? The formula is very creamy and nicely pigmented, I feel like I'm going to get a lot of use from this lipstick for fall and winter.
I am a big fan of NYX and I was pleasantly surprised to find this little trio in my bag! I can't wait to use it!

What was your favorite item from your September bag? It's a hard decision for me because I loved everything minus the hand lotion.
Until next time lovelies!

September Top Box!

Just quickly wanted to share the items I got in my September Top Box. I received an interesting mix of items this month, one of which I am completely OBSESSED with, and would never have thought to try out if I hadn't gotten it in my box.

My September items were:

  • Ciate London Nail Lacquer in the color Speed Dial
  • ColorSmash Hair Shadow in the color Je Ne Sais Quoi
  • Nova Scotia Fisherman Extreme Skin Care Rescue Balm
  • Curl Keeper Styling Collection Leave In Conditioner
Nail Lacquer

The Formula is amazingly pigmented, long lasting, and available in a range of finishes whilst formulated to be easy to apply. 13.5mL $15 Available at Sephora.com
The color I received is something I wouldn't think of buying for myself, but it will make a nice addition to my collection. I also feel that this color is perfect for fall, I'll definitely have to jump out of my comfort zone and find some nail inspiration on Pinterest that calls for a beautiful orange nail polish. (How cute is that bottle??)

 Hair Shadow

COLORSMASH hair shadow adds temporary color for luscious locks with ease. To use, open the COLORSMASH pod and rub along the desired sections of hair. Seal with hair spray. To remove, just wash it out! 4.1g $13 Available at ConditionCulture.com
I'm pretty excited to try this out, I love the idea of adding fun colors to my hair without the commitment of using a dye. I tried it out on a small section of my hair, and I have to say the color payoff is pretty nice!

Rescue Balm

Used to soothe and relieve irritated skin with natural plant based ingredients. It's prefect for troubled areas that are chaffed, calloused, cracked or sore; can be used on hands, feet, elbows, and more. 240mL $11.95 Available at NovaScotiaFisherman.com
I'm thinking of trying this out on my hands, my cuticles and the skin around my nails in general gets really dried out and it ends up looking not so pretty ha! The only thing I'm not loving about this is the overpowering scent of rosemary, I'm not a fan, but I am still willing to give this a try!

Leave In Conditioner

Apply Leave in Conditioner to clean wet hair from roots to ends for an even application. DO NOT RINSE OUT. For very frizzy hair or high humidity, use additional product. Follow with Curl Keeper styling products. 240mL $18 Available at Frizzoff.com and Trade Secrets
I am in LOVE with the product! My hair can get quite frizzy and I wish I would have known about this sooner! I was amazed by the results I got after using this! My hair felt so so soooo soft, and it was pin straight! It looked like I had used a flat iron. I didn't use any other products, no blow drying and no flat iron, I was so impressed and I will definitely be purchasing this after I use up my sample version.
That's all for today lovelies!

Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara (First Impression/Review)

I've heard a lot of things about this mascara, it's been around for a little while now, but I was never really interested in trying it out. I was selected to pick from a few Lash Blast mascaras thanks to Bzz Agent, and so I thought this was a good chance to try it out for myself! (Check out Bzz Agent HERE) I already own a couple of Lash Blast mascaras, and I like them pretty well. I have yet to find a mascara that beats my Lash Domination from Bare Minerals still, but I am always willing to try different products because how else will you know what the best products for you are??  Upon trying this mascara, my first impression was that for me, this product wasn't living up to all the hype I've heard about it. Over all it's a decent mascara, but nothing exceptional and I wasn't wowed by it. For the price, it's definitely a good option however, I prefer Maybelline Lash Sensational for the same price point. This mascara does hold up for a considerable amount of time without flaking, although it did transfer to my eyelids when I first applied it and it also smudged on my lower lash line, but after it was completely dry it was fine and I had no additional transfer. For me, this product did end up clumping my lashes, but only slightly. I don't feel it gave me any real volume, and I applied three coats, which is how much I normally apply with any mascara. I definitely want to give it another go, because I like to give products more than one try.

Before applying mascara

After, three coats applied
A closer look, applied at 3pm

Just before washing my makeup off for the night at 11:30pm
I like this mascara for everyday use, something to define my lashes when I want a more natural makeup look.
That's all for today lovelies!
How did you like the Clump Crusher Mascara?

[I was sent this product for free from BzzAgent.com to try out, all opinions are my own and I am in no way being compensated for making this post.]

Fan Expo 2015!

Another convention in the bag, and with every event I go to, I get more and more addicted! We attended Fan Expo on Saturday, it was so much fun and by the end of the day I was completely exhausted! I thought I would share the photos I took at the convention. We didn't meet any celebrities, and as much as it pains my heart ha ha we missed out on meeting Norman Reedus, his line was extremely long and limited, also just for an autograph would have been about $90 CAD (crying) perhaps if he ever comes back! There were some others I would have liked to meet, but by the time we made it over to the area with all the celeb booths, it was close to the end of the day.. I would like to go for 2 days one year, I feel like we have to rush when we only go for the one day. It's hard to really look at everything and buy things when you feel somewhat rushed. Anyway! We had a really awesome time and I can't wait for Comic Con! Now on to the photos! (If anyone is interested in seeing what I bought at Fan Expo, I can make a haul post..)
