Current Skin Care (Favourites Of Fall Series Part 3)

Welcome back to my Favourites of Fall Series! Today I wanted to share my current favourite skin care items. Since it's getting colder out and because I have VERY dry skin, I have to be more on top of my skin care... I have 7 products that I've been using and loving for the colder weather.

  1. St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Exfoliating Scrub
  2. Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub
  3. Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Repairing Lotion (for extra dry skin)
  4. Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream (for dry skin)
  5. Jamieson Pro Vitamina E 100% Pure Oil
  6. Blistex Lip Medix Lip Balm
  7. ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen (with avocado and almond oils, vitamin fortified: E, A, C, & B5)

I like to alternate between these two scrubs, I use them about twice a week depending on how my skin is feeling. I love these scrubs, they really get the junk out of my face and my skin feels so soft and smooth after. They are gentle and they don't irritate my skin at all.

I really love the Garnier 7 Days lotion, I've use the dry skin one in the Spring and Summer and this one for extra dry skin in the Fall and Winter. They smell amazing and they do a great job hydrating and keeping my skin soft.

This is either my third or fourth jar of this stuff and my skin LOVES it! I've tried other creams, and I never thought about using a gel until I randomly decided to try this out a while ago and I haven't looked back since! (This jar is nearly empty, so I'll be repurchasing a new one shortly...)

Because my skin needs all the help it can get ESPECIALLY in the colder months, I've added this little guy to my nightly skincare routine. It's an oil, but it's really thick so a little goes a long way for sure. I put this on my problem areas and let my skin drink it up over night.

These last two items aren't really skin care, but I use them as part of my nightly routine. The Blistex lipbalm is great for the colder months and when I get sick because those are the times I get really dry and chapped lips.. I really love the cuticle pen by ELF, it's super affordable and it really works! It repairs the skin around my nails... (because I have a bad habit of picking at my cuticles and the skin around my nails...)

That's all for today Lovelies!

What are your go to skincare items for the Fall and Winter??

Bath And Body Works Haul!

So, I went to B&BW with the sole intention of getting one of those scent disc things for your car... Turns out my store only had 2 scents, neither of which I was particularly fond of... (not to mention I only really wanted a seasonal scent, something Fall or Winter. Flannel is not exactly my idea for either..) On the plus side, they were having a 7 for $25 special on all of their soaps and I honestly couldn't pass that up! (especially since I don't seem to have any Fall scents and only maybe 2 Winter scents left in my "collection") I ended up getting 8, because it was buy 7 for $25 and get one more for free... (talk about random?) The free one I got was Peach Bellini, which I think is my all time favourite scent. (and it's more of a Spring/Summer scent but I don't care! haha)

Any way I picked up:

  • Vermont Sugar Maple
  • Sugared Vanilla Wish
  • Candy Cane Bliss
  • Crisp Golden Pear
  • Fresh Sparkling Snow
  • Peach Bellini
  • Black Cherry Merlot
  • Warm Vanilla Sugar (another of my all time favourites)
They all smell SO amazing and it was hard to choose which one to put in my washroom after my Fresh Picked Pomegranate is done.. (My hubby picked Vermont Sugar Maple) I always get the deep cleansing kind, because I don't really care for the foaming ones.... I really wish I could have gotten some of the Pumpkin collection, but those were no where in sight when I finally got around to going... Oh well! There's always next year!

That's all today lovelies!

Is anyone else super excited for Winter??

My October Ipsy Glam Bag!

It's that time once again!

I know I'm always excited for the new month to come, so I can see what amazing goodies Ipsy is going to send me next! The bag this month is pretty cute and simple, and I've been pretty impressed with all the bags I've gotten so far (not including the contents, which are also awesome, but I love how Ipsy is always changing it up! Instead of the same old box you might get from other subscription services, you get a cute little cosmetics bag which you can use and reuse instead of discarding like said box.) Any way this months theme was "The Art of Beauty" and I was happy with 4 of the 5 items I received. (The one I didn't care for was the cleansing wipes; like I've said before, I've tried so many different kinds/brands, but none compare to my Neutrogena wipes.)

This months goodies were:

  • La Fresh: Oil Free Face Cleanser Wipes
  • Coastal Scents: Medium Eyeshadow Brush
  • Big Sexy Hair: Blow Dry Volumizing Gel
  • Zoya Nail Polish: Neve
  • Wet N' Wild Fergie Center Stage Collection: Desert Festival

I didn't care for these, they just can't compare to my Neutrogena wipes and I didn't like the scent at all...
I can't wait to use this brush! It's so soft and dense!
I loved the last Big Sexy Hair product I got, so I'm really excited to see if this will help my usually flat hair (LOL)
GORGEOUS colour! I loved my last Zoya polish so I was really happy to have gotten another one!
This to me is Fall in a palette! There are a couple matte shades, a couple frosty shades and one glitter shade, I can't wait to try this out!

You can't really see the first shade on my arm.. Hopefully it shows up better when I put it on...

That's all lovelies!

What did you get this month?

Inexpensive Makeup Buy! (Bonnebell)

Hi again!

I bring yet another inexpensive makeup buy! Bonne Bell is normally a pretty affordable brand, however today I picked up 2 items for a dollar each! (SCORE! ha ha) I went to Dollarama with the hubby just to look around at their Halloween decorations (I am SUPER stoked for Halloween!) Of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out their beauty section (say what you will about the dollar store, but they do sometimes carry quality brands like Revlon, Sally Hansen and even E.L.F and for usually only a dollar!) I didn't care much for their nail polish selection this time around, I did however pick up these two Bonne Bell items: a Lip Lites lipgloss in Metallic Mocha and a Glimmer Bronzer in Gold N' Glitz. The Lip Lites run for about 3-4 dollars each and the Glimmer Bronzer runs for about 4-5 dollars each. Still pretty affordable. Getting these beauties for only a dollar each was pretty sweet though! I wish they had more of a selection for the Lip Lites, unfortunately the store I was at only had the Mocha one... Which is fine by me, because I gravitate toward the neutrals; I'll have to pick up the Strawberry Parfait eventually because everyone seems to rave about it and I would love to know what it's all about...

Bronzer on left and lipgloss on right.. I don't much care for the smell of the bronzer, but the gloss smells like chocolate!

That's all for today lovelies!!

Did you make any inexpensive purchases lately?
