My October & November Ipsy Glam Bags!

October has gone in the blink of an eye, November is half way over already, and Christmas time is drawing near with every passing day and I am sooooooo excited! I have to say that I'm slightly underwhelmed with Ipsy for my October bag.. I liked 3 out of my 5 items. The other 2 I could have done without. The theme for October was Alter Ego, and the bag has an edgy shiny black side and a sort of classic metallic gold foiled side. Very fitting for its theme.

My October items were:

  • Mica Beauty Creme Eyeshadow in the shade Bronze
  • Nourish Organic Pure Hydrating Argan Face Serum
  • Emite Makeup Tweezers
  • Lavanilla Laboratories Pure Vanilla Deluxe Roller Ball Perfume
  • The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Committed
This is an item I could have done without, I already own 2 pairs of tweezers, so I have no real need for these.
I personally don't like this fragrance, it's too far on the musky side for my taste. It's really a shame, because I love vanilla, and I was really excited at first glance.

November's Theme is Beauty Blast and OMG I LOVE THIS BAG! It's a galaxy print and has got to be my all time favorite print yet! I'm also really excited about all of my items this month! Way to go Ipsy! I redeemed points for a new eyebrow pencil as well, so I have 6 items to share this time instead of the usual 5. I really can't wait to try everything out!

November's goodies:
  • INSPR Fine Angle Liner Brush
  • Figs & Rouge Avance+ Flawless Effects Skincare Mattifying Pore Refining Primer
  •  Model Co Highlighting Trio in Champagne, Peach Bellini & Bronze
  • TreStique Mini Matte Lip Crayon in Nantucket Nude
  • Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black
  • Chella Hello Beautiful Eyes Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Color
I received this pencil in a dark brown color from a previous bag, and I really loved how defined it made my brows look! This taupe one will match my hair color better, I was really excited to be able to finally redeem some of the ipsy points I had been collecting!

That's all for now lovelies!

Hey! Let's Catch Up!

Hey all! I just wanted to give a quick update about what I've been up to since my last post! October started out pretty uneventful and then got crazy busy.

Thanksgiving was a couple days after my last post, so I made a nice dinner for my family, and the day after I got sick... I was sick for about 2 weeks. So much fun... >.>''
Then a friend of the family had a wedding, so we went to that, I was still sick, but really wanted to go. It was really lovely and I'm glad we went, even if we left early. I had a massive headache and felt so sick by the end of the night..
We weren't planning on doing much for Halloween, we were originally going to decorate and take our friends baby out for his first trick or treating, but about three days before Halloween our friends invited us out to a party and we decided why not? So 2 days before Halloween we had to scramble around looking for costumes, we had zero idea what we were going to be, but we eventually decided on Ninja Turtles. I was Michelangelo and my hubby was of course his favourite Donatello.
The night before Halloween, one of my very best friends was having a little party to celebrate her short trip back to Toronto, and even though there was still so much to do for Halloween, I wasn't going to miss the party for anything! It was so much fun, I met some really awesome people, made some new friends, and even saw a classmate that I hadn't seen since I finished school.
This Halloween turned out to be one of the best ever! Even though we were running around like mad people trying to get the finishing touches done, everything was so worth it and turned out great! We carved our pumpkins at literally the last minute and then took the baby out trick or treating. He had the best time! He didn't really understand at first what was going on, but after a few houses he was practically dragging my hubby to go to the next houses! When we made it back home we really had to crunch time and get ready to head out to the party... We ended up being an hour later than we wanted originally, but we still made it with plenty of time to party ha ha! We had such an amazing time partying, drinking, and dancing with our friends, definitely a night I'll remember! The only downside of the night was waiting in the drive thru at McDonald's for about 40 minutes for our food! We didn't go to bed until about 4am!
That was my October! It was a crazy whirlwind of fun things crammed into a short amount of time, but it was all worth it! So many memories were made, and it just made for a great start to my countdown to heading back home for Christmas! 32 days as I write this! I have some ideas and events planned for November, and I'm even kicking around the idea of doing my very first Blogmas! I still haven't completely made up my mind yet, but I think it would be really fun to share all the things that are going to be going on in December!
That's all for now lovelies!
What have you been up to lately??
