Pink October! (Breast Cancer Awareness)

October is breast cancer awareness month, and I personally wanted to do something to support this important cause, not only as a woman, but also as a person who has had loved ones battle and thankfully beat this terrible disease. I wanted to make a post on this topic for sometime, but wasn't sure how to go about it. I usually just make a donation, but I really wanted to do something to help raise awareness. I found a campaign on Brand Backer that I thought was perfect! Glamulet is a Canadian branded jewelry company that makes charms for every occasion in a variety of styles and finishes, they have a wide selection of bracelets, rings and necklaces all at an affordable price.

Currently, they are running a Pink October campaign with limited edition pink ribbon charms. This campaign aims to raise awareness to prevent breast cancer. For every charm bought, 50% of the sales are donated to a charity fund for breast cancer.

A little bit about Glamulet:

"The Charms brand Glamulet was launched in 2014 to offer to every women a new range of trendy and elegant quality jewelry at an affordable price. We believe that every woman should be allowed to express herself and to feel pretty. We design glamorous Charms and bracelets and we use quality materials to manufacture them. Each woman can mix and match the Charms to create her own Bracelet. Glamulet empowers women by giving them affordable accessories to state their fashion sense, commemorate an event or symbolize a special meaning. Two years after its launch, Glamulet is working hard to spread this vision worldwide and to better the life of every woman."

Today, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women. More than 200,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected in 2015. Thousands of women will die of breast cancer, one life lost is one too many.

Breast Cancer is the 2nd deadliest cause of death for women around the world. By 2050, no woman should die of breast cancer. Glamulet is launching the October Campaign to make this a reality. Ground breaking research for the cure needs to be funded. They can’t do this alone and they need all the help they can to spread the message. Which is why I decided to sign up for this campaign.

You can find their charms HERE

I encourage everyone to donate in some way, if not from buying these charms, then to organizations like the American Cancer Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Together we can help to put an end cancer!
This is for all the survivors and the memories of those who lost their battle, there are no words to express how incredibly brave and strong they all are!
