Today's post is just a simple DIY gift that is perfect for just about anyone on your list! I decided to do a cute mug gift for some of the people this year, and we are adding a gift card to each so the recipient can buy what ever they wish and everyone ends up happy! I found this option to be very stress free and really affordable, and both are things I think we all want during the Christmas season!
Enough of that, let's get to it!
You will need:
- A mug of your choice (I picked out some Christmas themed ones, but you can also get plain ones and decorate them how ever you wish using a Sharpie and then baking them in the oven.)
- Gift bags (Or if you don't mind the recipient seeing the gift before Christmas, you can use clear or coloured cellophane wrapping.. I like to keep the surprise, so I'll be using small gift bags..)
- Something to hold your gift card in (I got some cute money grabbers to hold the cards, you can use any kind of gift card holder, or simply tape them into a card.)
- Christmas-y tissue paper
- Bows
- An assortment of candies
You should clean your mugs out before using them...
All you do is place the candy in the mugs to the desired level, then add the gift card. Then you can either wrap it in cellophane and tie it off with a cute bow, or place the mug in the bag with tissue paper and you're done! Simple, Easy, Cute, Affordable and best of all everyone will be happy!
